The Anime Digital Dysfunction Network started as an idea between Lucid Dream, from HyJact’D, and Gene and Chris, from Super Happy Anime Fun Time, near the end of 2007 with the dream of bringing all types of otaku fandom to the table and collaborate about our hobby by bringing in a collection of anime podcasts each having their own unique format, subject matter or even based opinion of the anime passion.

This idea came from a certain hole left by the decline in anime publication, so called mainstream anime news sites and blogs, and the rampant divisions of the fans themselves create on forums and other internet media. This network was created to give an even balanced, entertaining, and downright fun experience to those who are passionate about their anime hobby and want to listen to others talk about said hobby without worrying about having someone turn into a fanboy or having an overbearing smugness about it.

After the talking between HyJact’D and SHAFT had been completed the site was officially launched on March 3, 2009 with the inclusion of the following podcasts:
