Well folks, the Guynerd and I absolutely wanted to provide our epic ramble about Sgt. Frog (Keroro Gunso) for you today. However, the fates were against us, as you can hear in this mini rant by yours truly.

Instead, here’s a list of things we discussed regarding the show:

  • Japanese Lesson: Onomatopoeia
  • Sgt. Frog plot: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sgt._Frog
  • Should American anime distributors change culture references to benefit a wider audience?
  • The voice of Alucard, thankfully not matched in the dub by Crispin Freeman
  • Sgt. Frog OP/ED theme songs: awesome in every way.
  • Bit ratings: Guynerd: 5, Girlnerd: 7.

Well, hopefully things will go more smoothly next time. Look forward to a possible guest host from the Anime Addicts Anonymous podcast. We were on one of their shows a few weeks back. If you’re under 18,  faint of heart, or unwilling to accept the meaning of the word “Futanari,” please don’t click this link! (See: hentai ep. 6)

See you next time!

This week we’ve got a preview of the spring anime coming up in the next few months as well as a quick review of the ever popular FMA Brotherhood. Do I really need to spell that out? Yes? Where have YOU been? FullMetal Alchemist. FMA stands for FullMetal Alchemist. Even my father knows what that is. Yeesh!

So anyway, for reference, clicky to the right for your Spring Anime reference chart, yoinked from chartfag. Bless you, chartfag, for your questionably dedicated charting.

Please to be enjoying the show!

Hello there gents and gentettes! Welcome to the first podcast on the new site with the new, work-in-progress design. This week we destroy my childhood and review Slayers Revolution. As fans may or may not remember, way back in one of our early shows I mentioned that the original Slayers series is what got me into anime in the first place.

Ten years after the end of Slayers TRY, the gang is back for Revolution, and Evolution-R (sigh). I’ll watch every single one, but I’ll be crying in the shower while I do.

You know what today is, right folks? It’s podcast day!

This week, we’ve deviated slightly from the norm to review the live action adaptation of the 20th Century Boys manga. I, for one, was surprised when I watched it and didn’t immediately vomit in disgust, as is my custom with live action anime adaptations (specifically, DragonBall and Sailor Moon). You might recognize today’s image from a previous post, but it’s appropriate here, so I’ve used it again! Ha HA! Anyway, please enjoy this week’s offering to the podcast gods. We’ve got a few written reviews coming down the pipe, so stay tuned!

Everybody’s favorite day has rolled around at last! That’s right… PODCAST DAY! I’ve toiled endlessly to prepare this delectable delight for you all, so please do enjoy our review of Bamboo Blade. Finally, something we didn’t COMPLETELY HATE.

I also promised a link for today’s Japanese lesson, which is all about Kendo! (You’ll have to forgive the horrible blue/yellow color scheme… I didn’t make the site!)

So, for your consumption, here is this week’s podcast. Thanks for listening!

Akemashite omedetou! This week we’ve reviewed a show called Special A, or S.A. for short. We’re a man down this week thanks to an untimely illness, but we’ve tried our best to give it a good goin’-through.

Hey there, internet friends and enemies! Another Christmas has come and gone and I hope you all got as much booty (in multiple senses of the word) as me! This week we go back through our Japanese lessons, talk about Christmas/New Year’s in Japan, and generally review the yays and nays of the year.

No proper review this week, but we’ll resume our regular format next show. Happy New Year!

The Girl Nerd’s Podcast #41

Hello hello everybody! We’re doing something slightly different this time: all three of us reviewing one show. Not only that, but it’s a show with 2 seasons. It’s a show with two seasons, we are reviewing both, all three of us are reviewing it, and we all liked it. Holy crap, the world is imploding on itself.

But enough of my talk. We’ll start off with a nice dose of Japanese lesson followed by a hearty review. Please enjoy the meal-sized podcast. Toodles!
